Medical Hair Loss

At Hair Solutions we also offer options for those suffering from hair loss as a result of illness, whether it is temporary (such as side effects of cancer treatment) or permanent, like Alopecia. These solutions vary per person, and we accommodate every individual to find the perfect solution for their unique needs.

Female Patterned Baldness is referred to as Androgenic Alopecia and affects twenty percent of women during their lifetime. Many women see changes during menopause or after childbirth when hormones go through drastic changes. In addition, disorders like Trichotillomania are twice as common in women as in men.

Stress and illness can also cause increased hair loss. It is possible to begin losing hair one to three months after a stressful situation, such as the loss of a loved one. High fever, chronic illness and severe infections can lead to hair loss as well. Chemotherapy and Radiation during cancer treatment lead to hair loss during the first ten to fourteen days after the first dose.

We offer solutions for all of the illnesses listed below as well as many others. Each of our rooms are private, meaning that your illness and the solution we determine together will be completely confidential and only known by you and your technician.
